Overview
Tearcott was founded durring the early 9th century, by Nanner Bevans Patterson. The establishment of Tearcott was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Tearcott's construction back out of the project. Nanner Bevans Patterson pushed on reguardles, and Tearcott was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Tearcott was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the early 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Tearcott is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.
Tearcott is buildings are arranged within a network of crampt flagstone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Tearcott's bare minimum defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.
Tearcott has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Tearcott ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The people are clearly worried about something, and everyone is either wearing a weapon or has one close at hand. Your gut tells you it’s not mere fate which has caused this town to begin failing...

Cultural Notes
There’s a relatively new religion in Tearcott which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.
Tearcott's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.
In Tearcott there is a constant smell of overcooked presumably ethnic food.
The Ooze, Amber near Tearcott are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.
Tearcott's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves bloodletting to channel Augury energies of tier 1 via moments of science.
